The excel® V laser offers the most extensive range of treatment options. The two distinct wavelengths can address more than 20 skin irregularities, including superficial and deep vascular concerns, pigmented lesions, and signs of aging. IPL/Photofacial
Intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment, also referred to as photorejuvenation treatment or photofacial treatment, is a non-surgical cosmetic skin procedure commonly used to correct skin irregularities and reverse the signs of aging. IPL treatments can treat a wide range of skin conditions such as hyperpigmentation and facial telangiectasia (broken facial capillaries). With a series of three to five treatments, the skin looks bright and rejuvenated. Consultation required.

How Are Laser Vein Treatments Performed?
Cutera® excel® V laser treatments are performed by either Dr. Schlechter or the licensed Aesthetician in the office. A topical anesthesia is not necessary but is available to ease in the discomfort of the treatment. The laser is applied to skin and the laser light energy is delivered in short pulses to the skin. Often, patients find that one or two treatments are sufficient. However, the number of treatments depends on the number, color, and size of the vessels being treated.

Am I a Candidate for Laser Vein Treatments?
Although laser treatments work on most people, we do have all patients go through a thorough consultation with the doctor or esthetician to make sure you are a candidate. As everyone has varying vein issues, during the consultation you will be given pricing and an idea of how many treatments will be necessary to get the desired results.

Recovery From Laser Vein Treatments?
Following your treatment, some redness, localized swelling or bruising may occur. This will resolve within one to two weeks of getting the treatment. For larger leg veins that are treated, a brownish pigment may persist for a few weeks. Patients can generally resume most normal activity following the treatment. We recommend sunscreen always be applied to any treated areas that receive sun exposure.
